Enter the Serif... (a student film [1:54] by Johann Pascual | California College of the Arts, USA) combines typography with fragments from the classic Drunken Master – a mix of martial arts and slapstick comedy from 1978 which propelled Jackie Chan to mainstream success. The short film pits Univers Chang of the Sans Serif Clan against Sabon Huang of the Serif Clan. Excerpts of Drunken Master are alternated with dialogue screens that are inspired by the work of Jan Tschichold: his classic, centered serif period and his assymetrical neue Typographie period. Some bits are laugh-out-loud funny (via FontFeed).

COOL! A Year of Superhero Movies...

It seems that this year is turning out to be a year of Superhero movies. . There's the soon to be released Iron Man movie, The Dark Knight (Batman), The Incredible Hulk (trailer linked above), as well as Will Smith's Hancock. Did I miss anything? Anyhow, should be a good time and I'm looking forward to it! Oh yeah... there's also Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Cheers! ;)

LOL... This video on YouTube just made me spray coffee all over my computer monitor. Some very clever video editing (in my opinion) and a frightening familiarity with the original Star Trek TV series. Worth checking out! See the video here on YouTube.

The Legend of Bruce Lee Trailer

I've been a fan of Bruce Lee for as long as I can remember... my younger brother sent me this YouTube link for The Legend of Bruce Lee, a TV drama series now in production in China. It's scheduled for release to coincide with the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympic Games, I hope that they'll release a cantonese version... check out the trailer on YouTube. Cheers!

IRONMAN Movie…

I've been a fan of comics and superheroes for a long time. Ironman would definitely be one of my all-time favourites... I can't describe how excited I am to see that there's an Ironman movie in the works. Whether or not the movie is actually any good is something else altogether (the Ironman movie trailer shows promise)... I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
